I was born and raised in Washington, NC which is better known as “Little Washington”. I hold a Bachelor’s in Science in Child Development from Meredith College. I have been working in the field of early childhood education for over 10 years. I am very family oriented and enjoy spending time with my family any chance I can get. I enjoy traveling in my spare time. I believe that all children are unique in their own ways. My goal is to provide children with a fun, positive, engaging and safe learning environment that will allow them to foster all their abilities and skills. I am extremely excited about joining the Holly Springs Academy family and serving as Center Director.
I have been working in early childhood for almost 20 years. I moved to North Carolina in 2004 and have been blessed with two beautiful children, Madilynn (10 yrs.) and Micah (9 yrs.). In my spare time, I like to decorate and plan events. As a family, we enjoy camping and spending time with friends. I love what I do. The highlight of my day is seeing the joy children get when they accomplish a task whether it is taking their first steps, sorting shapes, knowing their colors, or writing their name. I believe that every child should be given the opportunity to succeed in a safe and healthy environment. I believe that every child needs to be treated with respect and given many opportunities to succeed. I also believe that it is my job to help support and encourage the teachers to be the best they can be, to be positive role models, and to teach with respect and encouragement.
I understand the importance of building strong relationships. It is my goal to get to know each teacher, child, parent, and family. I believe that we are partners in your child’s educational journey and I am honored to be part of the family!
