I was born and raised in Washington, NC which is better known as “Little Washington”. I hold a Bachelor’s in Science in Child Development from Meredith College. I have been working in the field of early childhood education for over 10 years. I am very family oriented and enjoy spending time with my family any chance I can get. I enjoy traveling in my spare time. I believe that all children are unique in their own ways. My goal is to provide children with a fun, positive, engaging and safe learning environment that will allow them to foster all their abilities and skills. I am extremely excited about joining the Holly Springs Academy family and serving as Center Director.
Hello! My name is Shaunta’ Jones and I am so excited to join Jasmine’s wonderful team here at Holly Springs Academy! I have over ten years of experience in early childhood education and have filled many roles with the most recent being a program coordinator. I received my bachelor’s degree in 2010 in psychology from North Carolina Central University and I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in maternal and child health. My ultimate goal is for every child to have access to quality childcare regardless of background or socioeconomic status. Some of my favorite hobbies include having dance parties with my two daughters and binge-watching shows with my husband. When I’m not spending time with my family, you can usually find me crafting or trying to build something with my newfound love for power tools. I truly live by the motto that you can do anything you put your mind to, so there are not many things that I’m not willing to try at least once. My favorite children’s book is Giraffe’s Can’t Dance and my favorite preschool song is “Alligator Pie.” I look forward to becoming a part of the Holly Springs Academy community and can’t wait to meet everyone!
